Alec 66 lb Blacksmith Anvil
The Alec takes the compact Atlas anvil concept and adds the features of a much larger traditional blacksmith anvil without adding unnecessary weight.
Designed by Charles Steffes-Clayton and Pancho Willoughby, the Alec features an oval horn, an enlarged base for upsetting, three built-in swages, and a pre-ground 1/2″ radius bevel.
Cast from AISI 4140 steel and hardened to 55–59 HRC, the Alec provides a hard, durable working surface in a compact 66 lb package.

The sides and horn are painted to help prevent rust.
Final Dressing
As with other new cast-steel anvils, some final edge dressing may be desired before use. A flap wheel makes it easy to blend or modify the edges and bevels to suit your preferred forging style.
